NEW BORN
Newborn You, light up the
Dark crags of my heart.
Loving, laughing, chuckling
Let the streams of new
Life flow
Washing away the broken
Shell
Naked, standing,
Green, like a lamb.
Helpless and yet under
Your protection
You are the rock and
Also the water,
Your truth is the sword
And the bread of life.
My thirst is quenched
Through your outpouring
Overflow in me
Setting others free
May my brokenness
Give freedom to others
Your light revealed
Through the holes in
My heart
Divine light, birthing
Me. Complete
Free
Unfettered by the old
Ties, torn away and
Released.
There are marks from
Where the chains of
Bondage cut
But your blood is
Healing balm
Your eternal wounds
Make mine shine
Love is resurrection
Wounded compassion
Your gift to me.
My love set free.
Your birth in me.
Cut away the violence
The fear of it,
The beauty marred by it.
This is not your gift
But the distorted prize
Of the other side
Longing for greed to
Step in
And yet freed from
That bondage
Your movement is
One of grace
Turning your face to the
Blow
Not letting go
Not moving away
But loving anyway
Through the pain
You stay
I flee
You remain with me
You cast my fears
Into the ocean of
Your love
Let them melt with
The warmth of your
Light
Till nothing but new
Life, new time
Water into wine
Remains
Making the ordinary
Miraculous.
Simply being me
Is setting your creation
Free
You made me me
Precious, unique, free
Your love compassion
Designed to flow
Out of me
So resting in that
Your peace, your
Joy, your trust
Takes over
Making my brokenness
A blessing
A blessing for all to
See
Your light shining
Out of me
Your grace setting me
Free
Broken, given, shared
No more despair
Just love
Not kept in heaven
Above
But in every living
Thing, above and below
Without
And within
Waiting, waiting to begin
Begin the journey home
To our final resting place
In your arms of
Eternal, love peace and
Grace
When we shall see you
Face to face
